Xavier freshman Dwon Odom has been cleared to return to practice

Dwon Odom started the first seven games of the season, averaging 6.4 points, 4.6 assists and 3.6 rebounds a game. He had been in COVID-19 protocol since December 11.

Xavier freshman point guard Dwon Odom returned to practice Monday.

Odom's been in the COVID-19 return-to-play protocol since Dec. 11 and hasn't played since the Musketeers' Dec. 9 win over Oklahoma

Head coach Travis Steele met with the media Monday to discuss Wednesday's game against Seton Hall, and he said Odom will be available to play on Wednesday.

"He practiced today which was good," said Steele. "We gotta get him back up to speed – we'll get him there very quickly, but he will be available for the Seton Hall game."

Odom started the first seven games of the season, averaging 6.4 points, 4.6 assists and 3.6 rebounds a game.

It's hard to say what Odom's immediate impact will be on Wednesday, but having him available will certainly help against a high-pressure Seton Hall team.
