Main Street Aurora remembers city employee who died of COVID-19


The city of Aurora recently lost a city employee to COVID-19.Main Street Aurora announced the news on its Facebook page Tuesday saying Jerry Christen, known as Elvis, 80, lost his battle with COVID-19 on Monday.Randy Turner, who is Aurora's utility superintendent, said Elvis was working for the city when the street department was turned over to the utilities. He said Elvis was thinking of retiring this coming February."I don't think there was anyone that did not like this guy," Turner said.
