The 46th annual Commemorative Civil Rights March is planned for Monday morning and drivers going downtown but not attending the event should plan to take a detour.
Marchers will leave the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center at 10:30 a.m. and Cincinnati police say there will be a number of street closures to accommodate the event.
Police say the following streets will be closed from 9:30 a.m. to noon:
- Ted Berry Way will be closed between Rosa Parks Street and the Roebling Suspension Bridge
- Rosa Parks and Vine Streets will be closed between Ted Berry Way and Seventh Street.
- Freedom Way will be closed between Elm Street and Marian Spencer Way.
- Race Street will be closed between Seventh Street and Freedom Way.
- Second Street will be closed between Elm Street and Marian Spencer Way.
- Third Street will be closed between Walnut and Elm Streets.
- Fourth Street will be closed between Walnut and Elm Streets.
- Fifth Street will be closed between Race and Walnut Streets.
- Sixth Street will be closed between Walnut and Elm Streets.
