Several tornadoes were reported across portions of the Deep South Wednesday as the region braced for what was expected to be a day and night of violent weather, forecasters warn.
Wednesday afternoon, a tornado reportedly damaged homes in Wayne County, Mississippi, the National Weather Service said. At least six other twisters were reported on the ground in central Alabama as of mid-afternoon, the weather service in Birmingham said.
