A 97-year-old WWII veteran had his dreams come true this weekend after flying in a WWII airplane.Veteran Staff Sgt. Jerry Roettgers was born and raised in Norwood, Ohio, before serving in WWII. He received a French Legion of Honor award for helping to liberate France at Normandy.His dream since has been to fly in a WWII airplane and he was able to do just that on Saturday at Lunken Airport.Roettgers will be honored on Sunday as a Home Town Hero at the Cincinnati Reds game.
