The Boone County Sheriff's Office says this picture shows a man pointing a gun into the face of a deputy.

A man accused in incidents in three Northern Kentucky counties was shot multiple times by police before he was taken into custody in Newport on June 13, according to a report released by police Monday.

Jacob C. Roberts is accused of pointing a gun in a deputy's face in one county, shooting at police officers in another county and is reportedly linked to double homicide in a third county.

Roberts, 24, was arrested Friday after he was released from the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He remains in the Hamilton County Justice Center on Tuesday morning awaiting extradition to charges from Campbell, Boone and Pendleton counties, according to the jail's website.

Fox19 reports that court documents show Roberts has been charged with murder in a May 28 double homicide. Dillon Carpenter and Madison Klups were shot to death in their home in Pendleton County.
