The Reds’ wild-card lead over the San Diego Padres is 1 1/2 games

The Cincinnati Reds' lead over the San Diego Padres in the National League wild-card standings is down to 1 1/2 games - with 30 games remaining for the Reds in the 2021 Major League Baseball season and 31 left for the Padres - after the Reds' 2-1 loss to the Miami Marlins on Sunday.

The Padres were off Sunday. The Reds have won 10 of 17 despite Sunday's loss.

The Reds are 71-61 entering a three-game series with the St. Louis Cardinals at Great American Ball Park that starts Monday, and the Padres are 69-62 entering a three-game series with the Diamondbacks in Arizona that starts Monday.
