A sister singing duo from Butler County has made it to the first audition round of NBC's "The Voice."
Macie and Marie Cunningham, who live in Hamilton, posted on social media Friday that they had auditioned for "The Voice," which airs Sept. 20.
"OMG, It has been so hard to keep this secret!!!!," their Facebook post announcing the decision read. "We are so thrilled and excited to finally be able to announce that we auditioned for 'The Voice!' "
Teenage sisters Macie and Marie are self-described singers, songwriters, actors, models and dancers.
The sisters are not the first talent with Greater Cincinnati connections to make it on the show. In 2020, Mason's Michael Williams auditioned and joined Team Nick, working with first-time coach Nick Jonas. After learning he had not landed in the Top Eight, he had a chance to sing for the last slot in the top 9 but was eliminated after a viewer vote.
Season 21 of "The Voice" will premiere on NBC at 8 p.m. Sept. 20 with coaches Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Ariana Grande.
