Former Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones was arrested early Monday in connection with an assault in Over-the-Rhine.
Cincinnati police said the altercation occurred around 1 a.m. at Clutch OTR on Vine Street.
Officers said Jones, 37, punched and kicked Kevin Streets in the head causing him to lose consciousness. Streets is a security guard at the nightclub, records state.
Jones is due to be released from the Hamilton County Justice Center Monday after posting 10% of a $25,000 bond Monday.
Jones has had a number of run-ins with law enforcement. In 2017, a series of videos showed him verbally arguing with police in the streets of Downtown. In court, he was fined for obstructing official business.
In 2019, Jones pleaded guilty to cheating at gambling, a felony, and resisting law enforcement, a misdemeanor, after an incident at Rising Star Casino in Indiana. He spent about two weeks in jail on the charges.
Jones played for the Bengals from 2010 to 2017. He signed with the Denver Broncos in 2018, played seven games and was then released by the team. In May 2019 he announced his retirement.
On the field, Jones enjoyed one of his best seasons in 2014 and was named first team All-Pro as a returner for the first time in his career. He led the league averaging 31.3 yards per kickoff return.
