Former Miami University standout Ben Roethlisberger is expected to return next season as the Pittsburgh Steelers' starting quarterback, according to a report Tuesday from NFL Network's Aditi Kinkhabwala.
In January, NFL Network's Peter Schrager said on Good Morning Football that Roethlisberger's effort in a Wild Card Round loss to the Cleveland Browns reminded Schrager of the Dolphins' 62-7 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2000 in Dan Marino's last NFL game.
The Steelers signed former Washington Football Team QB Dwayne Haskins in January.
Roethlisberger finished the first half of the Steelers' loss to the Bengals in December at Paul Brown Stadium with seven completions (of 16 attempts) for 19 yards with an interception - the lowest output in terms of passing yardage in one half of a game during his long National Football League career.
Last week, Greg Jennings said on FS1's First Things First that the Cincinnati Bengals' Joe Burrow is arguably the AFC North's best quarterback.
