A man who lit his home on fire in Northern Kentucky claimed God told him to do it, officials with the Boone County Sheriff's Office said.The fire happened around 3:20 a.m. at a home in the 2100 block of North Bend Road. Investigators with the Boone County Sheriff's Office say the homeowner, 65-year-old Charles Mullin, has now been charged with intentionally starting the fire.Investigators say Mullins admitted that he turned on the stove's gas burners before pouring gasoline around the house. Authorities say Mullins then lit a piece of paper, tossing it onto the poured gasoline. The house was quickly engulfed in fames, officials said.The home sits in a heavily wooded area off of North Bend Road, and is close to several other homes and businesses. Crews say they were able to quickly put out the fire, and Mullins was able to escape the burning home unscathed. According to a press release from the Sheriff's Office, Mullins said, "God told him to start the fire and then flee Kentucky."Mullins was arrested on one count of arson, and is currently being held at the Boone County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond.
