The Miami University RedHawks announced their 2021 football schedule on Friday.
Following the Sept. 4 contest at the Cincinnati Bearcats, Miami travels to Minnesota (Sept. 11) before hosting LIU Post on Sept. 18. Miami concludes the non-conference schedule on Sept. 25 at Army.
Miami begins conference play in a rematch of the 2019 MAC Championship contest at home versus Central Michigan (Oct. 2). Other home MAC games include Akron (Oct. 16), Buffalo (Nov. 9) and Bowling Green (Nov. 16).

Conference road trips are at Eastern Michigan (Oct. 9), Ball State (Oct. 23), Ohio (Nov. 2) and Kent State (Nov. 27).
In the last 34 MAC games the RedHawks are a league-best 25-9 and won the 2019 MAC Championship with a 26-21 win over Central Michigan.
Even in the 2020 shortened season, Miami went 2-1 including a 38-31 win over Ball State, the eventual 2020 conference champion. In all, Miami has been bowl eligible in four of the past five seasons.
Miami returns a plethora of talent entering 2021, including starting quarterback Brett Gabbert. The 2019 MAC Freshman of the Year has accounted for 18 touchdowns and just eight turnovers in his career and is joined by eight other starters returning on offense.
Defensively, 10 starters return, including All-MAC performers Kameron Butler and Lonnie Phelps. Overall, 16 of the RedHawks' top 17 tacklers return for 2021.
Homecoming and Family Weekend, along with information about ticket prices and attendance policies will be announced at a later date. Miami will continue to follow the State of Ohio and Butler County guidelines surrounding COVID-19.
