

Step into a room and be surrounded by the works of one of the most legendary artists to this day as they're illuminated in a digital gallery.The Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields opened a multi-sensory digital technology experience called THE LUME Indianapolis.THE LUME takes over the museum's entire fourth floor and features popular artwork from van Gogh, such as The Starry Night and Sunflowers. The artwork is displayed from floor to ceiling by 150 high-definition projectors.Guests are encouraged to lie on their back or sit on the floor to experience the mesmerizing 360-degree immersive exhibit to a choreographed soundtrack.There are also food, drinks and retail items available for purchase.“This new groundbreaking cultural offering is a significant milestone for the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields and for Indianapolis as a whole,” said Jonathan Berger, deputy director of marketing and external affairs. “THE LUME Indianapolis brings technology and art together through an accessible, digital exhibition, intended to attract audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
