The Hamilton County Republican party announced its endorsements for city council, most of whom are already sitting council members.
Betsy Sundermann, Liz Keating, Steve Goodin and Linda Matthews were endorsed at the Republican party's city central committee meeting, according to party chairman Alex Triantafilou.
At this point, this is the full slate of endorsements for the party, Triantafilou told The Enquirer. There could be more added later, he said. All nine seats on council are up in November.
No one who sought an endorsement was denied, but each candidate had to go through a screening process, according to Triantafilou.
Goodin, Keating and Sundermann are current council members; all three were appointed to fill vacancies.
The endorsed candidates

Goodin was appointed to replace Jeff Pastor. He is a partner at Graydon Law Firm, specializing in litigation. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves and the Peace Corps.

Keating was appointed to replace P.G. Sittenfeld. She is the marketing director for the Jim Stengel Company, a marketing and consulting think tank. She's the daughter of attorney Bill Keating, Jr., who was known for his community involvement, and the granddaughter of former Enquirer publisher and U.S. Rep. Bill Keating.
Sundermann was appointed to replace Amy Murray. Sundermann is an attorney and a former Hamilton County prosecutor and Hamilton County Probate Court magistrate.
Linda Matthews, of North Avondale, is a teacher for Cincinnati Public Schools and owns Millennium Group II, which specializes in permaculture, agriculture and energy efficiency. She is also the part-time executive director 4-H Hamilton County Urban Initiative.
