Cincinnati Reds-Milwaukee Brewers rain delay in 7th inning

10:20 p.m. update: The grounds crew removed the tarp from the infield and the Reds announced that the game is expected to resume at 10:40 p.m. 

Pinch-hitter Tucker Barnhart was at the plate during the delay in a 0-1 count against Brewers reliever Jake Cousins. 

10:10 p.m. update: A few members of the grounds crew are removing stakes from the tarp, which usually signals that the tarp will be removed in a few minutes. 

Other members of the grounds crew are rechalking the left-field and right-field lines in the outfield.

When it rains, it pours. 

A few minutes after the Cincinnati Reds coughed up a two-run lead in the top of the seventh inning against the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday, they entered a rain delay at Great American Ball Park with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning.

The Reds are trailing, 3-2. 

The crowd of 37,204 offered cheers when the GABP grounds crew successfully put the tarp over the infield.
