A man who drowned earlier this week in Myrtle Beach has now been identified as a well-known Ohio coach and teacher. Marzell Pink, 49, died Wednesday of an apparent drowning in the popular beach destination, according to Horry County Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard. Pink died Wednesday after his body was pulled from the water around 7 p.m. near Sixth Avenue South, just a short walk from the boardwalk.According to a statement, Pink was an assistant wrestling and strength coach at Beachwood High School in the Cleveland metro area. School officials said it happened while Pink was vacationing in the area with his family."Rest In Peace Coach Pink. You made a huge difference during your time. We love you and send our thoughts and prayers to Marzell’s family," the district said in a statement. “Students and staff across the district are grieving the loss of a beloved member of the CMSD school community.”
