Rain and Gusty Winds

STORMS IN THE SOUTH NOT NECESSARILY MAKING THEIR WAY UP HERE. WE COULD HAVE SOME SEVERE WEATHER POSSIBLE. JUST A, YOU KNOW, BE AWARE TODAY. I THINK RANDY, RIGHT? YEAH, YOU KNOW AND IT’S GONNA BE MID AFTERNOON EARLY EVENING. IT’S A CONDITIONAL THROUGHOUT WHICH MEANS IT’S NOT A SLAM DUNK FOR US. GOT YOU. WE’RE GOING TO SEE SOME RAIN TODAY OFF AND ON. BUT THERE’S GONNA BE A TIME FRAME KIND OF AROUND LUNCH TIME OR SO WHERE WE GET A BREAK IN THE ACTION AND IF YOU DO SEE SOME SUNSHINE AND YOU’RE LIKE, WOW, IT’S WARM OUTSIDE. DON’T GET SUPER EXCITED ABOUT THAT BECAUSE THAT REALLY WILL BE KIND OF THE ATMOSPHERE GETTING AMPED UP FOR THE POTENTIAL FOR SOME STRONGER STORMS LATE AFTERNOON EARLY EVENING, BUT THIS IS A MASSIVE SYSTEM. YOU CAN SEE THIS MORNING SOME HEAVY RAIN JUST NORTH OF ST. LOUIS AND TODAY THE FOCUS OF THE MOST IMPACTFUL WEATHER THE BIGGEST THREAT FOR TORNADOES OR THE TYPE OF STUFF THAT WE SAW. TODAY IN MISSISSIPPI AND ALABAMA THAT IS SHIFTING TOWARD THE CAROLINA COASTLINE. SO THE WORST OF THE WEATHER STAYS WELL SOUTH OF GREATER CINCINNATI. WE WILL HOWEVER STILL HAVE AN IMPACTFUL DAY FROM RAIN AND NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE SOME DECENT STRONG WINDS. SO HERE’S THE LIVE RADAR AS WE TAKE A LOOK OVER THE LAST HOURS. SO WE’VE HAD ROUNDS OF RAIN KIND OF LIFTING IN FROM SOUTH TO NORTH AND RIGHT AT THE MOMENT. THE HEAVIEST RAIN BASICALLY GOES FROM THE WEST SIDE ALL THE WAY UP INTO HARRISON. SO FOR THOSE YOU WHO LIVE IN HARRISON RIGHT NOW? IT’S COMING DOWN PRETTY GOOD. I WAS DRIVING IN DURING A HEAVIER BATCH THIS MORNING AS WELL, AND IT WAS DEFINITELY CAUSING SOME HYDROPLANING ON THE ROADS. SO HEAVY RAIN RIGHT NOW IN HARRISON SAME THING OVER TOWARD WHITEWATER AND CLEAVES AND AS WE SLIDE A LITTLE BIT FURTHER SOUTH IN THROUGH SAILOR PARK AND OVER TOWARD AREAS NEAR IDYLLWILD, SO THAT IS GOING TO LIFT INTO THE WEST SIDE OF TOWN. AS WE HEAD OVER INTO SOUTHEASTERN, INDIANA LATE TO MODERATE RAIN THROUGH FAYETTE UNION AND OLIVE FRANKLIN COUNTY AND A STEADY SOAKER FROM NEW HAVEN TO OKIANA AND ROSS UP AND THROUGH OXFORD AND COLLINSVILLE NOT AS MUCH RAIN AT THE MOMENT OVER TOP OF THE 275 LOOP, BUT YOU CAN SEE SOME STEADY SHOWERS BACK IN PORTIONS OF BROWN COUNTY BASICALLY ANYWHERE EAST OF ROUTE 68 LOOKING AT SOME PRETTY STEADY RAIN, SO IT’S NOT RAINING EVERYWHERE, BUT YOU CAN SEE THE DEFINITELY SOME SPOTS WHERE IT’S COMING DOWN PRETTY GOOD AND HERE’S THE FUTURE. ASKED FOR TODAY. IT ACTUALLY HAS A DECENT HANDLE ON WHERE OUR HEAVIER BATCH IS RIGHT AT THE MOMENT AND WATCH WHAT HAPPENS IS WE GO THROUGH THE MORNING. THERE WILL BE TIMES WHERE THE RAINS COMING DOWN A LITTLE BIT HEAVIER. 7:38 9. AM. THOSE ARE PRETTY BUSY TIMES ON THE ROADS, AND WE WILL HAVE SOME POCKETS OF INTENSE RAINFALL AT THAT TIME AS WE HEAD TOWARD THE LATE MORNING HOURS. YOU WILL NOTICE THAT RAIN KIND OF SHIFTS TO THE NORTH AND IF YOU’RE SOUTH AND ESPECIALLY SOUTH EAST OF CINCINNATI CHECK IT OUT NEW NOON TODAY SOME PLACES STILL GETTING OUT OTHER SPOTS SEEING SOME SUNSHINE AND WHAT THAT WILL DO IS HELP KIND OF AMPLIFY THE ATMOSPHERE AND BRING IN THE POTENTIAL FOR SOME STRONGER STORMS AS WE GET INTO THE LATE AFTERNOON AND EVENING. SO SOMETIME BETWEEN ABOUT THREE AND SIX PM. THERE’S DEFINITELY THE POTENTIAL FOR SOME STRONGER STORMS GUSTY WINDS FOR EVERYONE INTO THE EVENING AND THEN THAT RAIN WILL FADE JUST AFTER MIDNIGHT THE WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO BE AN ISSUE FOR US OVERNIGHT WITH 30 MILE AN HOUR WINDS AND A GUSTY DAY ON FRIDAY AS TEMPERATURES DROP. OUR STORM IMPACT. YES. WE’RE ALL DEALING WITH RAIN AND STRONG WINDS NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE, BUT THERE’S AT LEAST SOME SEVERE WEATHER THREAT THOUGH OUR TORNADO THREAT HERE IN GREATER. CINCINNATI IS PRETTY LOW, AND I WANT TO GIVE YOU A PEEK HERE AT THOSE WIND GUSTS. THEY’RE GOING TO BE STRONGER TO THE NORTH PLAN ON GUSTS POSSIBLY 30 TO 40 MILES AN HOUR SECOND HALF OF THE DAY AND THEN STEADY WINS ABOUT 30 MILES OVERNIGHT. SO IT’S GOING TO BE A WINDY ONE FOR US TODAY. GAVE YOU A RANGE OF TEMPERATURES BECAUSE IF YOU’RE LOCKED IN WITH THE CLOUDS, YOU’LL BE UPPER 50S IF YOU SEE SOME SUNSHINE. HE’LL BE LOW 60S, BUT WE DO HAVE THE POTENTIAL FOR SOME STRONG WINDS AND MAYBE SOME STRONG STORMS TODAY WENDY STILL TOMORROW AS TEMPERATURES FALL, BUT THEN WE REBOUND THIS WEEKEND WITH A LOT OF SU
