• 42nd minute – Red card, Columbus Crew's Harrison Afful: Afful hauled down Luciano Acosta near midfield and was assessed his second yellow card of the match, which consequently resulted in a red card and a sending-off.

• 24th minute – GOAL, FC Cincinnati (2-0): Luciano Acosta. Acosta's third of the year and second in the last two matches was a simple tap in that slid into the net under the outstretched Crew goalkeeper, Evan Bush.
