A Cincinnati animal shelter is putting out a call for the public to adopt senior cats and dogs because its shelter is overcapacity."We're sending out an SOS: Save Our Seniors!" Cincinnati Animal CARE wrote on Facebook Friday.Cincinnati Animal CARE is calling its overcapacity situation a "Code Red," saying the shelter population has exceeded its number of kennels.Cincinnati Animal CARE is a no-kill organization, and they keep one dog per kennel for the safety of the animals and staff.Last week, the shelter said to combat this capacity crisis, adult dog and kitten adoption fees are "name your price."According to the shelter, its standard adoption fee is $75 for adult dogs, but people can choose to pay less or pay more than that."Should you choose to pay more, we'd surely appreciate it!" Cincinnati Animal CARE wrote on Facebook.Just recently, a woman adopted a 19-year-old senior cat named Sammy from Cincinnati Animal CARE.
