A young fan attending the Cincinnati Reds' game Monday night against the Philadelphia Phillies on Lou Gehrig Day at Great American Ball Park got a visit from Reds first baseman Joey Votto, who appeared in photos shared by the Reds via Twitter to give the girl his hat:
The Reds won the game, a series finale postponed from June 2 because of rain.
Last week, Votto's meeting with a young fan named Abigail in San Diego - and the ball he signed for her apologizing for not playing the entire game after he was ejected during the first inning a day earlier - made national headlines.
