The Arizona Cardinals announced Monday that Shawn Williams, a free agent who spent his first eight National Football League seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals, agreed to terms on a one-year deal.

Williams, a third-round pick of the Bengals in the 2013 NFL Draft, played in 119 games for Cincinnati over eight seasons. He had five of his 12 interceptions as a Bengal during the 2018 season in which he started all 16 games.
Williams, 29, started 15 of the Bengals' 16 games in 2019. Last season, he played in 13 games as a backup.
Williams joins his teammate of the past eight seasons, receiver A.J. Green, in Arizona.
Johnathan Joseph, a 2006 first-round draft pick of the Bengals who played his first five NFL seasons in Cincinnati, and Dre Kirkpatrick, a 2012 first-round pick of the Bengals who played his first eight NFL seasons in Cincinnati, were among the Cardinals' defensive backs last season.
The Bengals announced Monday that they signed free-agent safety Ricardo Allen.
