Man shot, killed in vehicle on Interstate 75 in Cincinnati


A 29-year-old man was shot and killed on Interstate 75 in Cincinnati, authorities announced Monday.It happened Friday in the southbound lanes of the interstate at the Hopple Street exit. According to officials with the Cincinnati Police Department, a car pulled into the emergency entrance of University of Cincinnati Medical Center just before noon Friday. Ellonzo Martin, 29, was found inside, suffering from a gunshot wound. Police say they learned later that Martin was shot along the interstate, although they did not provide specifics of the shooting. Martin was pronounced dead a day later from his injuries. So far, no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the city’s homicide unit at 513-352-3542.
