Flash flood warnings issued throughout region


Update 10 p.m.: A flash flood warning was issued for much of southwest Ohio, northern Kentucky and southeast Indiana.

The National Weather Service said rain will continue throughout the night with rainfall rates of one to two inches an hour in some areas. Some places will see repeated rainfall and could have totals of two to four inches of rain overnight.

Update 9:30 p.m.: Dangerous storms continue to move southward into southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky, the National Weather Service said.

Brief tornadoes and straight line winds are the main threats along with flash flooding. Never drive through flooded roads, especially at night, NWS said.

Update 8:50 p.m.: A tornado warning was issued for Butler and Warren counties at 8:46 p.m. Friday until 9:15 p.m.
