Xavier Musketeers guard Paul Scruggs responded via Twitter on Friday to a remark from Cincinnati Bearcats head coach Wes Miller indicating that UC wants "to kick Xavier's behind" in the annual Crosstown Shootout between the archrivals:
Miller was introduced Friday morning as UC's new head coach.
From The Enquirer's Keith Jenkins:
Scruggs announced earlier this month that he will take advantage of the free year of eligibility offered by the NCAA because of the COVID-19 pandemic and return to the Muskies for another season in 2021-22 as a fifth-year senior.
XU has defeated UC in the Crosstown Shootout in three of Scruggs' four seasons with the Musketeers. Scruggs scored a game-high 20 points in Xavier’s 77-69 win over the Bearcats at Fifth Third Arena last December.
