National Baseball Hall of Famer Rod Carew quietly started tweeting a couple of weeks ago and has picked up the pace as of late, and fellow former Major League Baseball greats - including fellow Hall of Famer and former Cincinnati Reds great Johnny Bench - are taking notice that Carew is worth following on Twitter and spreading the word.
During a 2013 visit to the former Green Diamond Gallery in suburban Cincinnati, Carew said as a believer in the integrity of the game, he always respected players like Hall of Famer Hank Aaron, former New York Yankees great Roger Maris and former Reds star and fellow Hall of Famer Barry Larkin. "They all got to the top of their profession, and they did it the honest way. They didn't cheat."
Carew, 75, was inducted into Cooperstown's Hall of Fame in 1991 - one year after Joe Morgan and two years after Bench.
