STEWART: IT’S NOT OFTEN A HIGH SCHOOL YEARBOOK MAKES INTERNATIONAL HEADLINES. BUT THAT’S THE CASE FOR ONE SCHOOL OUTSIDE OF ST. AUGUSTINE. MICHELLE: THE TODAY SHOW, TMZ, EVEN THE BBC IS REPORTING ON BARTRAM TRAIL HIGH SCHOOL’S DECISION TO DIGITALLY ALTER SOME YEARBOOK PICTURES, AND IT IS LEADING TO OUTRAGE. THIS IS A BEFORE AND AFTER YEARBOOK PHOTO TAKEN OF BARTRAM TRAIL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT RILEY O’KEEFE. ON THE LEFT, THE NINTH GRADER’S ORIGINAL OUTFIT, BUT ON THE RIGHT, HER PICTURE PHOTOSHOPPED TO COVER UP HER CHEST. MICHELLE: THE SCHOOL IS OFFERING TO REFUND YEARBOOK MONEY OVER THE PHOTOSHOPPED PICTURES. BUT ONE MOTHER WHO DIDN’T WANT HER IDENTITY SHARED SAID A REFUND DOESN’T CUT IT. >> OUR DAUGHTERS OF BARTRAM DESERVE AN APOLOGY. THEY ARE MAKING THEM FEEL EMBARRASSED ABOUT WHO THEY ARE. MICHELLE: A SPOKESPERSON FROM THE SCHOOL DISTRICT SAYS THE CHOICE WAS MADE TO PHOTOSHOP TO KEEP WITH ITS CODE OF CONDUCT POLICY, AND A SOLUTION TO MAKE SURE ALL STUDENTS WERE INCLUDED IN THE YEARBOOK. WHAT’S ALSO MAKING HEADLINES IS THE CRUDE WAY THE PHOTOSHOPPING WAS DONE. TAKE A LOOK, PATTERNS DON’T LINE UP. IN SOME CASES IT’S LIKE A BOX OVER THE STUDENT’S CHEST. STUDENTS AND PARENTS SAY THEY WERE NEVER TOLD THE PI
