High-profile NKY attorney faces more human trafficking charges


A Northern Kentucky attorney is facing more human trafficking charges, authorities said.Robert L. Poole was indicted in Boone County on four counts of human trafficking and one count of bribing a witness, Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron announced Wednesday in a statement.Poole was indicted in 2018 in nearby Kenton County on 15 charges, including human trafficking of a minor and third-degree rape. The trial in that case is set for September. Poole has pleaded not guilty to those charges.Erlanger Police investigated the case with assistance from the Attorney General’s Human Trafficking Investigation Unit after receiving information during an investigation of former Campbell County District Judge Tim Nolan.Nolan was sentenced in 2018 to 20 years in prison for human trafficking.“These charges demonstrate the often complex and connected web that traffickers can weave when targeting victims,” said Cameron.
