May's previously cooler temperatures could be leaving as Cincinnati is expecting a chance of showers and temperature highs in the high 80s to low90s this week.
Last week's temperatures of highs in the mid-60's were "well below normal" for the year and made for a mild month, the National Weather Service said.
We can expect a chance of chance of showers and thunderstorms early in the week, with partly cloudy and sunny skies and more summerlike temperatures following later.
Cincinnati forecast
Monday: Chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm, mainly before 3 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m., with a high near 70. Overnight low around 58.
Tuesday: Chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. Overnight low around 60.
Wednesday: Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 83. Overnight low around 63.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 88. Overnight low around 64.
Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. Overnight low around 64.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. Overnight low around 65.
