Cincinnati Ballet breaks ground on new Walnut Hills facility

WALNUT HILLS, Ohio (WKRC) - The Cincinnati Ballet kicked off construction of its new headquarters Tuesday.

Crews broke ground for the Margaret and Michael Valentine Center for Dance in a ceremony at the site off of Gilbert Avenue in Walnut Hills.

The 57,000 square foot facility will give the ballet more space with nine studios for training and rehearsals. There will be expanded parking, a dancer lounge and a place for physical therapy and training services.

The ballet is working to raise $30 million dollars for the project. $10 million has already been committed by donors, including the Valentines.
