CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Local health care providers are using robots to assist with surgery to help save little lives.
This weekend, Local 12 is sharing a special program on saving lives with the team at TriHealth. It's a full half-hour on high-tech health.
One of the things health care providers will be talking about is something that now helps those like Cordeajah Lee, who is about to become a new mom.
It may reduce the odds she'll deliver early.
"These are twin girls. They are identical, so they're expected in March, but with everything going on, they might come early. So, the team here has everything prepared just in case if anything happens," Lee said.
"We did a cerclage, a vaginal cerclage, where they tie a stitch around the cervix to keep her cervix closed, keep the babies in," said RN Shalonda Greene.
This same procedure is now also done robotically. Local 12 will share more on that during the next "Saving Life" program.
