The Cincinnati Bengals added several new elements to the gameday experience at Paul Brown Stadium this offseason with one goal: To create more energy.
With nine home games and the stadium allowing full capacity, the Bengals will implement several new traditions prior to kickoff. Cincinnati will host the Minnesota Vikings for the Week 1 showdown at 1 p.m. ET, Sunday, Sept. 12.

Here’s a look at some of the new things to expect from the Bengals if you’re planning to attend a game this season:
- New uniforms: The Bengals will play in new uniforms this year. On Sunday, the team will wear the popular all-white combination. The uniform change marks the first time in 17 years Cincinnati has made any changes.
- Season ticket benefits: The Bengals added new benefits to provide additional value to season ticket members. Two of the noteworthy benefits for this season include exclusive gifts and concession discounts to redeem on gameday.
- Ruler of the Jungle: With hopes to get fans engaged before kickoff, the Bengals created a new pregame ceremony called the Ruler of The Jungle. The ceremony starts at 12:55 p.m. and is a stadium-wide Who Dey chant led by a Ruler – a Bengals legend, celebrity, or super-fan – from a jungle-themed throne. The Ruler of The Jungle for Sunday’s game will be Bengals legend Bob Johnson.
- Jungle Zone: Fans can stop by the new Jungle Zone which is located on the lawn of The Andrew J. Brady ICON Music Center across from Paul Brown Stadium. The Jungle Zone opens two hours prior to kickoff and features music, food, drinks and games for all ages. Admission is free.
- Canopy Crazies: The Bengals want to create a college student section type of vibe to Paul Brown Stadium. The 300 level has been rebranded as the “Canopy Crazies” and is for anyone looking to enjoy the return of live events and socialize with special menus and signature cocktails.
- Gameday experience changes: Fans will see fireworks following touchdowns. Player introductions will be different and include smoke-breathing tigers and more.
- Ring of Honor: The Bengals created a Ring of Honor to recognize former players, coaches and individuals who played a significant role in the franchise’s history. The Ring of Honor ceremony will take place during Cincinnati’s Thursday Night Football matchup on Sept. 30 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The inaugural class features: Ken Anderson, Paul Brown, Anthony Muñoz and Ken Riley.
