Former Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator and assistant coach Hue Jackson interviewed with the Pittsburgh Steelers about their vacancy with the same position, according to multiple reports.
The Steelers dismissed offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner earlier this month. NFL Network reported last week that the Steelers are expected to promote quarterbacks coach Matt Canada to offensive coordinator, though Canada reportedly has interviewed with the Miami Dolphins for the same position.
Jackson spent part of the 2018 season as a special assistant to then-head coach Marvin Lewis with the Bengals and was considered a candidate to replace Lewis as head coach before the Bengals hired Zac Taylor.
On Thursday, the Steelers signed former Washington Football Team quarterback Dwayne Haskins. Haskins and Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow battled for the starting quarterback job for the Ohio State Buckeyes. Burrow transferred to LSU - where he won the Heisman Trophy and a national championship with the Tigers.
