“Good Morning Tri-State” on WCPO 9 (WCPO-TV) is getting a new anchor.
Kristen Skovira will replace Julie O'Neill as a co-anchor on “Good Morning Tri-State” starting Wednesday, the TV station announced in a press release. Skovira – who left Idaho News 6 in Boise, Idaho – will join Adrian Whitsett on the weekday morning show.
The Emmy-nominated broadcaster has worked at stations in Cheyenne, Wyoming; Fort Myers, Florida; Denver, Colorado and Nashville, Tennessee, according to WCPO.

“I’m so excited to join the WCPO 9 morning team and explore my new city,” she said in a statement.
“Kristen is a veteran journalist with a decade of experience and expertise in news,” WCPO news director Barry Fulmer added. “We are very excited to have Kristen join the WCPO 9 News family.”
O'Neill, a 27-year veteran, left the station in September after her contract was not renewed, John Kiesewetter of 91.7 (WVXU-FM) reported.
