Three Ohio police officers are being praised for their quick action for rescuing a missing four-year-old boy who was found unresponsive in a fishing pond.The 4-year-old was initially reported missing from a family member’s house in Painsville, Ohio early Saturday morning.Police said officers responded to the area to search for the child when they received a report of a possible floating body in a nearby park’s fishing pond.When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered the child under debris in the pond.One officer used a throw rope for safety as the other officers rescued the child from the water.They carried the child to shore who appeared to be unresponsive. Officers began CPR and lifesaving efforts until the child began breathing and was able to be taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.Police said they believe the child used the back sliding door to leave the family member's house and then walked to a nearby park and into the pond.The child is currently in stable condition, police said."The Painesville Police Department is proud of the responding officers for their courageous actions and lifesaving efforts. We sincerely hope the child has a full and speedy recovery," the police department said in a post.
