The "NFL on CBS" broadcast crew may have said some interesting things during halftime of the AFC Championship Game between the Bengals and Chiefs.
But no one likely heard what they said.
That's because the massive speakers that pump the sound of halftime entertainment at Arrowhead Stadium were positioned right behind the mobile set where the CBS analysts were set up.
Host James Brown was trying to have a conversation about the game with analysts Phil Simms, Bill Cowher, Nate Burleson and Boomer Esiason, but the loud music coming from the speakers made it incredibly difficult to make anything of the discussion.
At one point, Esiason said: "I didn't hear anything you just said."
The network normally hosts its halftime shows during the regular season from the CBS studios in New York City but sometimes travels for important games.
Simms, a former quarterback of the New York Giants, poked fun about the setup on his verified Twitter account, posting a GIF with the caption: "Please be quiet, I'm talking now."
