An Ohio appeals court says Hunter was inappropriately charged thousands of dollars in court costs. Following her felony conviction, Hunter was ordered to pay more than $34,000 in court costs. Hunter appealed, and the state reduced the costs by about $350. In a ruling, the appeals court said Hunter was charged the costs of transcripts that did not relate directly to her case, ultimately overturning thousands of dollars in court costs.
