Greater Cincinnati is finally getting a break from the rain this week.
Most of the week will feature temperatures in the high 80s and sunny skies.
A high-pressure system will keep skies clear and temperatures near or just below seasonal norms, forecasters said.
Even with lower temperatures, forecasters said there will be moisture in the air, making things muggy. By Friday, rain returns to the forecast.
"(The) pattern becomes more active at the end of the workweek and into the weekend with increasing chances for showers and thunderstorms," the National Weather Service said.
Despite the clear skies, you might see a bit of a haze around Greater Cincinnati due to wildfires out west.
"The haze you see in the sky is indeed wildfire smoke high up in the atmosphere. According to our models, this haze will increase over the coming days, likely leading to some colorful sunrises and sunsets," forecasters said.
