In the Cincinnati Reds first game back from the All-Star break, All-Star right fielder Nick Castellanos left the game with an apparent injury heading into the fourth inning.
Castellanos, an early MVP candidate who had not previously been injured this season, was replaced in right field by Aristides Aquino.
In the bottom of the third inning, Brewers starter Adrian Houser hit Castellanos with a pitch on the wrist. Brewers manager Craig Counsell protested the hit by pitch call on the field, and Castellanos responded by pointing to his wrist to show where he was hit.
