HOUSTON – FC Cincinnati might be slightly disappointed to come off the road given how well the club is playing away from TQL Stadium at the moment.
FC Cincinnati went unbeaten in three matches in a 1-1 comeback draw against Houston Dynamo FC at BBVA Stadium on Saturday.
The game capped off a three-match road swing for the club in which it went 2-0-1, and improved to 3-2-2 on the road overall.
Houston went in front in the third minute through Tyler Pasher's third goal of 2021, and Dynamo FC appeared primed for a rout in front of a raucous home crowd.
But just two minutes later, a long ball by FCC center back Geoff Cameron was allowed to slip through the Dynamo's lines. It might not have been an intentional pass but it allow Alvaro Barreal to be played in, and he made no mistake with his finish.
The goal was Barreal's third of 2021 while Cameron was credited with his second assist of the season.
The tie allowed FC Cincinnati to improve to 3-5-2 on the season while Houston moved to 3-3-6.
