Tuesday's high is expected to be 93 but prepare for it to feel much hotter.
The National Weather Service said the combination of heat and humidity will push heat index values into the mid- and upper 90s.
The heat index for Tuesday could reach 101 in areas of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
Temperatures will be cooler to the north of Dayton, Ohio, but temperatures could still feel like they are in the low 90s.
Luckily, we only have one more day before we get a break in the heat and humidity.
"Higher chances of showers and thunderstorms are forecast for Wednesday and Thursday when a cold front crosses the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley," the National Weather Service said. "Cooler weather is expected Friday through Sunday behind the front.
It won't be chilly. Temperatures are supposed to drop into the 80s for the weekend.
Rain is still in the forecast for the holiday weekend, but it's looking better.
The National Weather Service said skies should be clear on Friday, Sunday and Monday.
On Saturday, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 4 and 7 p.m.
