PGA Tour golfer Jim Herman, a Cincinnati native and former St. Xavier High School and UC Bearcats standout, had a hole-in-one on the par-3 16th hole during Sunday's final round of the Travelers Championship at Connecticut's TPC River Highlands.
From @PGATOUR via Twitter:
Herman finished the tournament six strokes under par, tied for 25th. He shot a 70 (par) in the final round.
The Enquirer's Adam Baum wrote earlier this month about how Herman's humble golf beginnings in Cincinnati helped him to PGA Tour success.
Herman often makes it known on Twitter that he is a huge UC supporter. In March, he tweeted that he was "really disappointed" he didn't get to watch Xavier play in the National Invitation Tournament. XU opted not to make an NIT appearance after failing to earn an NCAA Tournament bid.
In Aug. 2020, Herman rallied to win the Wyndham Championship in Greensboro.
