FC Cincy’s Calvin Harris could miss up to 2 months after successful surgery

FC Cincinnati winger Calvin Harris is set to miss six-to-eight weeks after undergoing successful arthroscopic surgery Wednesday, team officials announced.

Harris' absence immediately triggered a roster move for FCC and should have further implications for the team's depth.

Harris, FC Cincinnati's 2021 MLS SuperDraft selection with the second overall pick, made four regular-season appearances and three starts prior to his procedure. The club announced Wednesday he was moved to the injury list, which freed up an international roster spot that will be filled by TSG 1899 Hoffenheim loan prospect Franko Kovacevic.

FC Cincinnati forward Calvin Harris (20) passes the ball in the first half of the MLS match between FC Cincinnati and Inter Miami at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati on Sunday, May 16, 2021. The match is FC Cincinnati first match at the newly completed TQL Stadium and first home match of the 2021 season.
