There hasn’t been much winning in Cincinnati since Tyler Boyd was drafted in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. The Bengals haven’t finished better than third in the AFC North since Boyd arrived, Boyd’s yet to participate in a playoff game and the Bengals have the fewest wins in the NFL since the start of the 2019 season. Despite all that, the Bengals top receiver remains upbeat and optimistic.
“Oh man, just every year I try to go year by year. Every year I feel like it’s going to be that year for us,” Boyd said.
Boyd has valid reasons to be optimistic this year. The Bengals have the necessary ingredients for an explosive offense featuring quarterback Joe Burrow, who is getting healthier by the week, running back Joe Mixon, wide receiver Tee Higgins and rookie wide receiving Ja’Marr Chase.
