The Skinny: The Reds gave starting pitcher Wade Miley two extra days between starts after he pitched a no-hitter against Cleveland last weekend. Reds lefty Johnny Vander Meer in 1938 was the last MLB pitcher to throw no-hitters in back-to-back starts.

Pitching for the 1938 Cincinnati Reds, the 23-year-old tossed back-to-back no-hitters, a feat that has never been duplicated in the Major Leagues.
