One person has died in a house fire in Butler County Monday.West Chester firefighters responded to the 8300 block of Colonial Mill Manor just before 4:30 p.m. for a report of a fire with people trapped inside. When they arrived at the scene, they found flames shooting out from an upstairs window.Fire officials at the scene said family members were able to get out of the home, but told first responders that an older man was trapped inside the home when they arrived. That man died in the fire, officials said.One fire investigator was put in an ambulance to be checked out after working overnight on another fire and immediately responding to this scene. Chief Rick Prinz said the man’s blood sugar was low after not eating all day. He appears to be OK, though.
