Donald Trump.
Do those two words make you cheer? Bristle? Do you wonder how the other side – even friends and family members – can possibly feel the way they do?
The polarization apparent in Ohio during the 2020 election doesn't have to be permanent. The USA Today Ohio Network is working with nonprofit Braver Angels to help heal our divides, and you can help.
Braver Angels is hosting a free workshop, via Zoom, on "Skills for Bridging the Divide" on Saturday, March 20, from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
"Many people avoid or dread political conversations with friends or family whose politics differ from their own," reads the group's announcement. "In our polarized nation, attempts at political discussions can quickly become arguments and lead to hurt feelings or anger."
Bridging the Divide Workshop teaches skills to have respectful conversations, clarify differences, search for common ground, and affirm the importance of relationships with those who think differently.

Note: There is a 40-minute e-learning module that will need to be completed prior to the March 20 event. Participants will receive the e-learning link when they register for the workshop, which is led by trained Braver Angels moderators.
