HOWEVER, YOU KNOW THE COOL CLEAR SKIES MEAN COOL STARTS. SO WE’RE DEALING WITH THAT THIS MORNING. WE’RE ALSO REALLY CONCERNED ABOUT THE OHIO RIVER. THERE WAS A NEW UPDATE YESTERDAY RIGHT AROUND 8PM AND THAT HAS INCREASED THE EXPECTED CREST TO MODERATE FLOOD STAGE, WHICH IS 56 FEET AND AND ALSO SPED UP THE TIMELINE FOR THAT. HAPPEN ONE O’CLOCK TOMORROW MORNING RIGHT NOW AS OF ACTUALLY THE THREE O’CLOCK UPDATE. WE’RE AT 54 FEET, WHICH IS MINOR FLOOD STAGE, WHICH MEANS THE FLOODING JUST CONTINUES TO WORSEN IN CALIFORNIA, NEW RICHMOND ANDERSON THE EAST END SMELL RIVER FROM PARK AREAS NEAR COVINGTON AND BACKWATER FLOODING CONTINUES UP THE LITTLE MIAMI AS FAR AS NEWTOWN AS FOR WHEN WE HIT 56 FEET. WHAT LOOKS DIFFERENT WELL PLACES ON DELBOT AVENUE, WHICH IS OVER IN ANDERSON HOLMES ARE CUT OFF. THERE’S RAMPANT BASEMENT FLOODING IN ARE THE RIVER ROUTE 8 IN KENTUCKY HAS FLOODING ROUTE 56 IN INDIANA ROUTE 52 AND OLD 52 IN OHIO PIERCE TOWNSHIPS. HE’S MORE FLOODING AND ALSO SOME HOMES NEAR LUDLOW BROMLEY, SO IT DOES GET MORE INTENSE AS WE HEAD INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS AND AGAIN EXPECTED TO CREST BY THIS TIME TOMORROW MORNING AS WE TAKE OUR LIVE. LOOK OUTSIDE. YOU CAN SEE THE OHIO RIVER LIT UP BY THE ROEBLING AND YOU CAN SEE IT IS RUNNING HIGH AND FAST THIS MORNING 29 DEGREES IS THE CURRENT TEMPERATURE THE WINDS THOUGH PRETTY LIGHT, SO WE’RE NOT TALKING ABOUT A WIND CHILL THIS MORNING NOTICE THE WARM-UP YESTERDAY. WE ONLY MADE IT TO ABOUT THE UPPER 40S. WE SHOULD HIT THAT MARK BY ABOUT 11 AM IN FACT BY NOON. WE’RE ALREADY AT 52 AND THEN THIS AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES CLIMBING UP VERY CLOSE TO 60 DEGREES IN MOST TOWNS. IT’LL BE A LITTLE BREEZY THIS AFTERNOON, BUT YOU CAN SEE ON THE LIVE RADAR THINGS ARE QUIET AND VERY DRY HERE IN GREATER CINCINNATI FUTURECAST IS GOING TO SHOW SUNNY SKIES FOR US THROUGH THE AFTERNOON AND INTO THE FIRST PART OF THE NIGHT. The Ohio River hit minor flood stage Wednesday and is continuing to rise, shutting down streets and flooding surrounding areas.Nearly 22 inches of snow fell in February, adding up to 78% of our winter's snow total. With temperatures on the rise, signs of the snow have almost completely melted away. That snowmelt coupled with incoming rain starts bringing the river out of its banks. The river's been slowly rising for a few days and is now forecasted to crest at 56 feet by Thursday morning. The crest would be a similar height to last year's February flood, and a pretty normal or average late Spring/winter flood along the river.Here are the impacts at the river hitting minor flood stage:A few homes along Debolt Road in Anderson Township are cut off, with a dozen homes incurring basement flooding In addition to significant flooding of Coney Island and Riverbend, A few businesses flood along Kellogg AvenueWidespread backwater flooding occurs, with Route 8 in Kentucky, Route 56 in Indiana and both Route 52 and old Route 52 flooded in areasLocations most affected include low-lying areas near New Richmond, the East End, California and Anderson and Pierce Townships
