One person rescued from vehicle stuck during flood in Boone County

One person was rescued Sunday after a vehicle was stuck in Boone County at South Fork and Hance roads in Verona, Kentucky.

Emergency responders in Northern Kentucky rescued one person from a vehicle that was stuck due to flooding caused by heavy rain on Sunday. 

Dispatchers said deputies with the Boone County Sheriff's Office, along with crews from Northern Kentucky Technical Rescue, responded around 10:46 a.m. to the incident at South Fork Road and Hance Road in Verona, Kentucky. 

The driver was attempting to drive across a bridge when the vehicle got stuck, dispatchers said. 

Paramedics from Gallatin County transported the driver to a local hospital for medical treatment. The extent of their injuries is currently unknown.
