Drier and nice for Mother's Day
While a few rain chances will impact some areas to our west during the morning, most will stay dry as humidity levels drop later today
LOOKS LIKE A GREAT EVENT THERE. AND THE WEATHER COOPERATED FOR THE MOST PART YESTERDAY. A COUPLE OF SCATTERED SHOWERS AND TODAY FOR MOTHER’S DAY, IT LOOKS LIKE IT’S GOING TO BE BEAUTIFUL. YEAH, IT’S GOING TO BE REALLY MUCH BETTER TODAY THAN WHAT WE SAW YESTERDAY, EVEN THOUGH WE HAD A LOT OF DRY WEATHER. WE HAD A LITTLE BIT OF THAT HUMIDITY YESTERDAY. TODAY, WE’LL START TO LOWER THAT HUMIDITY BEGINS TO FEEL A LITTLE AT LEAST A LITTLE BETTER OUT THERE WITH SOME RAIN CHANCES, BUT ONLY FOR A FEW AREAS AS WELL. AS YOU LOOK AT THAT RADAR SWEEP THIS MORNING, YOU SEE A LITTLE BIT OF THAT RAIN OFF INTO PARTS OF INDIANA JUST TRIMMING BY PARTS OF RIPLEY COUNTY THERE ON THE FAR WESTERN EDGES, AS WE PUT IT INTO MOTION. YOU’LL NOTICE HOW IT’S KIND OF JUST BARELY MOVING TO THE SOUTH AND EAST. SO SOME OF THIS RAIN UP NEAR GREENWOOD, IF IT DOESN’T FALL APART, WE COULD SEE IT KIND OF JUST TRIM THAT SOUTHWEST CORNER OF RIPLEY COUNTY, MAYBE EVEN GETTING INTO PARTS OF SWITZERLAND COUNTY HERE THIS MORNING AS WELL. YOU HAVE A LITTLE BIT MORE RAIN UP UPSTREAM OF THAT NEAR LAFAYETTE, INDIANA, INTO PARTS OF ILLINOIS THAT COULD ALSO MOVE THROUGH OUR AREA. THIS MORNING. MOST OF THIS JUST EAST OF FORT WAYNE, NORTH OF DAYTON AND COLUMBUS SHOULD STAY OUT OF OUR REGION AS WELL AS WE GO THROUGH TODAY. AS FAR AS RAINFALL IMPACT, IT’S LOW TO NONE TODAY. MOST AREAS GOING TO BE GETTING BY AND EVEN A LITTLE BIT OF RAIN THOUGHT THAT WE COULD SEE OFF TO OUR WEST. IT’S GOING TO BE STAYING FAIRLY SCATTERED, TOO ISOLATED THROUGH THIS MORNING. MONDAY, WE’LL HAVE ANOTHER THREAT THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING HOURS. OTHERWISE THIS DRY. AND THEN BY TUESDAY, WE ARE ADDING A RAIN THREAT THERE IN THE FORECAST SYSTEM, KIND OF SHIFTING ITS PATH THAT COULD IMPACT OUR REGION AS WELL. SO LET’S LOOK AT THAT. THE FUTURE CAVS THIS MORNING, AS I MENTIONED, FEW RAIN CHANCES MOSTLY INTO PARTS OF CENTRAL EASTERN INDIANA, SOUTHEASTERN INDIANA, AND JUST BARELY INTO PARTS OF NORTHERN KENTUCKY THROUGH PARTS OF GALLATIN INTO CARROLL COUNTY. OH, WAYNE COUNTY ALSO GETTING IN ON A LITTLE BIT OF IT THIS MORNING, BUT A LOT OF IT REALLY GOING TO FADE AWAY. SO OVERALL, A GREAT MOTHER’S DAY HERE THROUGHOUT THE AFTERNOON THROUGH THE EVENING, WE’LL HAVE SOME PARTLY CLOUDY TO CLOUDY SKIES THROUGHOUT THE AFTERNOON WITH SOME PEEKS OF SUNSHINE. THEN AS WE GO INTO YOUR MONDAY, HERE’S A LITTLE BIT OF THAT RAIN THREAT THAT MOVES THROUGH IN THE MORNING. IT’S GOING TO BE FAIRLY SCATTERED THERE FOR THAT MORNING COMMUTE FOR THE BUS STOP FORECAST THERE MONDAY MORNING FOR A FEW THAT STILL ARE IN SCHOOL. I KNOW A LOT OF GRADUATIONS HAPPENING HERE SOON AS WELL, BUT WE’LL HAVE A FEW OF THOSE MORNING SHOWERS THAT THEN FADE AWAY THROUGH THE LATE MORNING INTO THE AFTERNOON HOURS. AND THEN WE’RE LEFT OVER WITH DRY WEATHER FOR THE REST OF YOUR MONDAY. NOW, AS FAR AS TEMPERATURES GO THIS MORNING, STARTING OUT THE DAY IN THE UPPER 50 IS A LOWER SIX EIGHTIES ALL ACROSS OUR REGION, 56 LOVING LOVELAND, 59. BATAVIA, 63 HERE IN PARTS OF CINCINNATI. AND WE’LL KEEP IT MILD TO WARMING UP AS WE GO THROUGH TODAY. SO IF YOU DO HAVE ANY PLANS FOR MOTHER’S DAY, BREAKFAST OUT THIS MORNING WILL BE INTO THOSE LOWER SIXTIES AND THEN AS WE GO THROUGH THE LATER MORNING HOURS, WILL GET INTO THE MID-SIXTIES, EVEN GETTING TOWARDS 70 DEGREES BY ABOUT TEN, 11:00. ALSO HAPPENING TODAY, ART, ON THE VINE AT WASHINGTON PARK BEGINS 12 P.M. SO IF YOU’RE TAKING YOUR MOTHER OUT FOR THAT ART SHOW THERE AT WASHINGTON PARK, EXPECT THE TEMPERATURES TO GET A LITTLE WARMER BY THE AFTERNOON. WE’RE TALKING EIGHTIES. AND THEN AS IT WRAPS UP AROUND 6 P.M., STILL EXPECTING AROUND THE UPPER SEVENTIES WITH THOSE CLOUDY SKIES. SO FOR TODAY, TEMPERATURES NEAR 80 DEGREES, ISOLATED RAIN MAINLY TO THE WEST. THOSE WINDS PICKING UP A LITTLE BIT MORE AND IT’S TURNING LESS HUMID, WHICH IS ALREADY FEELING IT A LITTLE BIT THIS MORNING. BUT IT WILL FEEL REALLY GREAT BY LATER ON THIS EVENING AS TEMPERATURES DROP BACK TO THE LOWER FIFTIES OVERNIGHT. THERE’S THAT SCATTERED RAIN THREAT ON TUESDAY. DESPITE THAT, A WEATHER IMPACT TO THAT JUST BECAUSE WE COULD SEE MAYBE SOME IMPACTS TO THAT MORNING COMMUTE THERE ON TUESDAY, OTHERWISE WILL DRY IT OUT FOR THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK. AND TEMPERATURES DROPPING A LITTLE BIT BACK INTO THE MID SE
