Virginia transfer Kadin Shedrick, who reportedly considered Xavier among his finalists, committed Sunday night to the Texas Longhorns, he confirmed via Twitter.
Shedrick had scheduled a visit with the Musketeers for April 23-24, according to a report via Twitter from On3sports' Joe Tipton. Tipton tweeted that Shedrick also had visits scheduled with Texas, Missouri and Duke.
Shedrick, a 6-foot-11 forward from North Carolina who played the past three seasons for the Cavaliers in addition to a redshirt year in Charlottesville, averaged 6.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 30 games for UVA this past season, including 15 starts.
Texas ended the Musketeers' NCAA tournament run in the Sweet 16 last month.
Xavier has added North Texas' Abou Ousmane, Western Kentucky's Dayvion McKnight, Rice's Quincy Olivari and Indiana's Logan Duncomb, a former Moeller High School standout, via the transfer portal this month.
